LEVEL II : Farmhouse POW Rescue
Set up Alpha with a rifleman, and set up Bravo with a Support Rifleman (big gun), and a Demo Expert.
Drop Bravo to the ground, and order them to hold (have them facing the fence so the don't start shooting people).
Have Alpha traverse the fence along the back, crossing the river, and into the forest in the corner of the map behind the barn. Slowly, work your way in to the barn from the back, there are usually a few people on
patrol outside the barn, observe them for a few cycles and slowly move in, picking them off as you move. It's not a big deal to clear out the barn if you're careful, there's usually a guy or two in the hay-loft too. Secure the Pilot, and take him back to the LZ, make sure you stay
down, and move slowly. You'll pass a few clusters of terrorists, and you can avoid killing them (that was one of the stated objectives in the
briefing, though you don't get points for it...).
Drop him off at the LZ, and go back into the fray the way you came. Follow the outside fence ALL the way around until you cross the plowed field behind the house. Same thing here; stay low, stay slow, and work your way into the house. You can usually plug three or four guys through the windows, and heads up, there are some guys in the plowed
field in front of the house that will probaly come over to play once the shooting starts. Secure the Weapons Officer, and bring him ALMOST all the way back to the LZ the same way (go ALL the way around again). Alpha and the Weapons Officer should lay flat behind the tree at the bottom of the hill (about 500 feet from the LZ). You don't want to bring the Weapons Officer back to the LZ until you blow the plane.
Now that you've got the path cleared (around the back of the board), it's safe to take your Demo guy to the plane, the same way that Alpha went in. It seems like a long way around, but these Demo guys are precious, and if you can avoid getting into a fray in the hills, in the forest, and in the field, you have a much better chance of keeping him
alive. Lead the way with the support rifleman, working your way to the upper right corner of the board, and sneaking in behind the hay bails. Drop the charge, and go back the way you came, picking up Alpha along the way.
You've now completed all Primary and Secondary objectives with only
three people, plus you avoided four areas that are usually guarded, and are difficult to fight in.
