destroy the rancor
the easiest way to destroy the rancor in the sewers near the vulkar base is to use mission's stealth abilities to approach the pile of corpses unseen, click on them and get the items they contain, then use the give items option to place the odour synthesizer, which is gained at the entrance to the room with the rancor, on the pile of corpses, which in turn will be eaten by the rancor, poisoning it and killing it immediately.
